Underfeed combustion system
The combination of the moving grate with the proven fire pit and the falling outer grate in the PYRTEC optimally combines the advantages of moving grate boiler combustion with those of underfeed combustion. A feed screw conveys the fuel into the fire pit, where it is pre-dried. On the outer grate and the moving grate, the fuel is completely degassed. The gases are then burned with a controlled supply of secondary air.
Clean and efficient combustion
The PYRTEC’s combustion technology achieves low emission values (particularly for CO and NOx). Operation with modulating output control and an optimized combustion principle enables an efficiency of up to 92%.
Design and Function
The PYRTEC boiler is a high-quality design built for the harshest operating conditions (high fuel flexibility from M10 to M50). The combustion chamber is lined with pressed and fired fireclay bricks, which have a high alumina content for greater durability. All grate elements are made of high-quality, thick-walled cast chrome steel and withstand even high temperatures. The PYRTEC boiler features a three-pass heat exchanger for maximum heat transfer and highest efficiency.
Boiler Control
The boiler control system is a fully programmable modulating output and system control system. It controls all fans with speed regulation, as well as the
fuel filling system, and monitoring:
- the boiler’s supply and return temperatures
- the photoelectric sensors of the feeding system
- the pressure sensor for reliable negative pressure
- the flue gas temperature
- the combustion chamber sensor (upper temperature limit)
- the oxygen content of the flue gas (lambda sensor)
