Rotary Combustion
The patented rotary combustion system of the PYROT boiler represents the state of the art. A feed screw continuously conveys the fuel onto a moving grate, where the fuel is subjected to gasification (under lambda-controlled primary air supply). Continuous gasification takes place under oxygen-deficient conditions. Rising combustion gases are mixed with atomized secondary air imparted with rotational momentum by a rotary blower. This ensures thorough mixing with the combustion gases.
Clean and efficient combustion
The PYROT’s proven combustion technology achieves similar emission values to those of a modern gas-fired plant and, depending on the fuel, keeps
CO, NOx, and particulate emissions to a minimum. The combination of combustion technology and digital modulating output control enables
efficiencies of up to 94%.
Boiler control
The digital modulating output control ensures optimal combustion by precisely regulating the ratio of combustion air, recirculated
flue gas, and fuel. The control system monitors:
- the boiler’s supply and return temperatures
- the condition of the combustion bed
- the photoelectric sensors of the feed system
- the flue gas temperature
- the oxygen content of the flue gas (lambda sensor)
